This winter engagement session took a little convincing on my part. I have been dying to find some brave souls to come out in the snow and do a session. I wasn’t particular on what type of session, and had a few fall through, but this adorable couple did it! I could see the hesitation when I suggested it but thanks to Pinterest I had a ton of wicked ideas to show Amy and help convince her these would be photos that no one else will have. I have been looking online for a couple months now trying to get ideas and noticing very few photographers head out in the elements. Can’t say I blame them or their clients. I hate the snow too. The sound of it under my feet is pretty much the equivalent of nails on a chalkboard.
I know it’s hard to visualize all the wonderful things about winter when your toes are about to snap off, you can’t feel your fingers, your nose is running and the glare off the white stuff is enough to make you think you see the light and are off to heaven. BUT… we all loved it when we were kids. We would bundle up and run outside without a care in the world. Just think about snowmen, snowball fights, tobogganing, hot chocolate, snow forts, skating and sticking close to that special someone because this was the perfect excuse to snuggle. How cute are these two all bundled up!
